Choose a verification channel
Cartsaver supports two channels for delivering OTP codes to your customers. The default channel you choose has a direct impact on verification rates, so it’s worth pausing for a moment before moving on.
The two options

Section titled “WhatsApp — recommended for MENA stores”- Pros: 90%+ open rates, reasonable cost per message, and unlocks follow-on features like cross-sell and review collection in the same thread.
- Requires: either use Cartsaver’s WhatsApp Business API — built on the official Meta API — recommended. Or bring your own approved WhatsApp Business API account if you have one already.
- Pros: works for any mobile number, no app required on the customer’s side.
- Requires: a local SMS provider connected to Cartsaver. Egypt, India, and Saudi Arabia have ready integrations; more can be added on request.

Verify it works
Section titled “Verify it works”- Open Cartsaver → Settings → Verification channels.
- The selected channel shows Available next to its name.
- For WhatsApp, the WhatsApp Business API account is connected and shows a clear sender name.
